Today at school we played with playdough. We went to the gym and played corners. We learned about bats. We learned that some bats are poisonous. Bats hunt at night. We drew bats. We wrote in our Journals. We had a visitor today, Ms. Lasota. She is coming to teach us.

Hero
We wrote about our heros. Ask me who my hero was.
We saw Smokey the Bear. Smokey sleeps in the forest with cougars. He gave us high-fives. He didn't talk at all. He helps to take care of the forest.
Our day at school was fun.
The Tour de Rock riders came to our school and it was cool. The raccoon gave us high-fives, we liked him the best! They are riding 140km to Victoria. Ben was a rider from Port Hardy. It is hard to ride that far on a bike. We really liked their shirts.
I had fun today.

Signs of Spring Field Trip
We had such a great time on our field trip to Cluwexe. We saw signs of spring everywhere. A huge thank-you to Megan Hanacek for leading and teaching our students all about the forest and to all the parent volunteers who helped out. Maybe we caught glimpses of Dzunukwa on the beach???
Maybe….
Day 21 - As I sat in our quiet classroom after school on Friday I heard a small "cheep" from the incubator, but there were no signs of pips. I am planning to head in Sunday to check on their progress. Unfortunately we weren't able to set up a livecam to watch the hatching process. This is an example of what you might see.
